Nail Garden has got the celebs....D listers but who cares!

Getting nails done tonight....to my right Eva, winner of America's Next top model some seasons ago and to my left, Mr. Belding (Dennis Haskins) from the best teenage sitcom ever!!! He walks in, gives his nail girl a big hug, picks her up and sounds like a bear...hilarious...then he proceeds to talk to a girl waiting to get her nails done about her graphic tee that had two squirells fighting. Serious..she was like 19 and he was staring at her chest....way to go dude and way to gain 50 lbs in the past decade. I was basically the tea pot from the movie Beauty and the Beast...I should have stood up and pretended I was Angela Landsbury and sang a song....I love that soundtrack..takes me back.

Wow....It's been a long time!

This week I have decided to refresh my blog with the latest celeb outings I have had over the past week or so....Here we go...

Dave and I were going to Bed, Bath and Beyond (not Home depot...we are not the handy couple) and as we waited to cross the street, a dude with a hoodie on his head on a scooter (whatever those skateboards with the pole and handle maybe motorized I dont remember) stood next to us. It was crazy windy and I put my hood up too....Joking I turned to the dude with the hood and made some dorkie comment (as usual) and it was Nathan Fillion who plays Richard Castle on the show Castle. I only watch the show because he is awesome....I start remembering my love for the too short series "Firefly". He scooted over to the ATM. Love it.

Last night..outside of Dillion Irish Pub on Hollywood Boulevard, David Arquette and daughter Coco (my mom is a cougar) Cox-Arquette. It looked a lot like this picture, except he had a hood on his head and more clothes were worn by the two of them....it was dark too....Can you picture it???

Depeche Mode Lovers

Just some of the celebs seen at the Hollywood Bowl, Monday August 17th singing and moving their hips to Depeche Mode were Olivia Wilde, known for her lesbian character on the "O.C." and her role on "House". She was just a few boxes down. Also at the afterparty, we saw Jack McFarland, Jack from "Will & Grace"

Hiro Finds a Hottie

So it has been long over due, as the blog has not had much action over the past couple weeks. Two weeks ago, we were at the Lucky Strike before the Depeche Mode concert at the Bowl and saw Masi Oka, who plays Hiro Nakamura on the show Heroes having a drink with a cute blonde. As much as I wanted to grab a picture with him, Dave quick mentioned that it would be a total cock block manuever. So this is what I got....One of the shots is over Al Ghery's hair :)

After dinner and drinks with the Novak's, Dave and I had to stop by Ralph's grocery store, a.k.a. Hottie Ralph's, at 11pm to get Murphy's Oil for our house cleaner tomorrow. To my delight, we walk down the center isle and Ryan Gosling passes by. I abruptly stop, whisper to David that Ryan Gosling just passed us and will be on the next isle to the left. As we proceeded towards the cleaning isle, we both look left, and there is Ryan, staring us Eye to Eye. I guarantee he was thinking, "I can't even go to the grocery store at 11pm in peace." Not with me out there...Not with me.

Me llamo Giovanni

Spotted Monday at Mexico City Cafe - Giovanni Ribisi with a brunette hottie on one side of the booth and his 12 year old daughter sitting next to him. What I can say is before they left, daughter went to the restroom and Giovanni and unknown woman stood up and gave each other the cutest huge, kiss and pats on the ass....They did make sure they were done canoodling be the little one came back! Good Dad.

Here comes the bride...da da da da

Last night, we celebrated our friends Josh and Laura wedding at a reception at the Pali House in West Hollywood. Josh is from Los Angeles and several of his mates from High School were there. Most I had met. I wanted to mention a couple of them who have done pretty well for themselves in the Biz.

1. Nick D'Agosto - has been in some episodes of Heroes, was in the movie Mardi Gras and Fired Up!

2. Steve Howey - well known from his role as Van in the show Reba, but most recently was in the movie Bride Wars.

3. Sarah Shahi - Steve's wife who was in the L Word and most recently on the show Life. She and Steve were there with their 17 DAY old baby William. I swear she did not just have a baby. Great genes that one......

Dusty's is always a goodie for spotting celebs eating brunch in Silverlake. My last spotting there was Scott Speedman from Felicity, but Sunday brought a rather obsure siting. Our lovely, Rose, from Two and a Half Men with her husband Jimmi Simpson who has been on several TV shows and movies. Nothing too exciting about these two other than the fact they seemed perfectly normal. They drink juice, coffee (however I did notice they did not eat the delicious bread at the table). I guess Celebs don't eat carbs. Dave and I ate that yumminess up!

The Ugly Truth...focus on UGLY!

Yesterday, while at a screening of the new movie "The Ugly Truth", sitting in front of me with all his comb-over glory sat Scott Krinsky, or as you may know him as Jeff "I'm so creepy and drunk" Barnes from the NBC hit Chuck. Or you may not know him because you don't watch Chuck. Well guess what...You are missing out. Chuck is one of my favorite shows on TV. Always a laugh and Scott Krinsky has a lot to do with that!!!

No really. I was a view of 7th Heaven back in the day...Let's just say way back in the day. Ok..here it is: Spotted at a bar George Stults who played the older Kinkirk brother. Here's a little trivia. George played older brother to his real life young brother Geoff Stults on the show. Good Genes, the pair of them.

CHELSEA! CHELSEA! You did me so good!

Pasadena, California. Dave and I are at the Rose Bowl to see Chelsea Football Club Beat Inter Milan 2-0!! There was not a shortage of celebs out to support our Chelsea Blues. First, spotted on the side lines during the first half....WILL FERRELL. No hype, just Chelsea T and some plaid shorts. Of course they had to put him on the jumbo tron, but he looked like he was just having fun!

Then...I was out grabbing a beer during half time, and I see a Security dude walking with ASHTON KUTCHER and his posse of men and women. I literally stood 3 feet away and I wish I would have jumped on him. I think that would have been acceptable. Where was Demi you ask? Well not with him. Moments later, he was escorted onto the field with his group and sat right on center line. It seemed a bit chachy...but whom am I to judge? Well, I am the girl writing this blog, so I guess I can judge away..

I saw Tatyana Ali from Fresh Prince again at a stop light on Ventura. She sports a red prius. How celebrity of her. No picture necessary.

Spotted: Lake Bell, awesome wing woman in "What Happens in Vegas" eating brunch at Le Pain Quotidien on Melrose. I have to thank Dave for this post since I recognized her but would not know where she was from. All I have to say is "In The BALLS!"

RYAN GOSLING!!! Unfortunately, I was not the one who spotted him Friday at the 101 Cafe sporting a sexy tight T with bulging muscles and a buzz cut....Super Hottie! Maybe I'll catch him at the gym sometime soon...one can only hope.

Katsuya has done it again. Thursday as a group of us waiting for our table at Sushi Katsuya we spotted one of the "Sister Sister" twins, Tia or Tamara, one can't tell the difference with Brian White from the oh so not popular pre-Twilight/True Blood show Moonlight. Others were there, but even I'm not that good at C/D listers.

Thursday night I flew to Portland, Oregon with Dave to visit the Murphey/Schoeffs and within an hour, we are sitting at this dynamite tapas restaurant, I am sitting looking out the window and Art Alexakis, lead singer of Everclear walks by with his daughter. That is right. I saw a celebrity outside of LA. Rock On!

No joke...I walk outside my door to walk Derek this morning and I almost trip over Lumbergh, or Gary Cole. He had this trying to be hip old man swagger. Very odd. This is the second time I have seen him, always in a t-shirt with the sleeves cut off. Not a fan.

Thanks to fellow celebrity spotter Casey, we have seen a member of one of our favorite shows on TV. Anna Camp, new to True Blood this season was spotted sitting on the patio at Birds on Franklin. Was that a bloody mary she was drinking? Touche.

Transformers!!!!

Spotted: Derek Alvarado from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen at Boho in Hollywood. Who is Derek Alvarado you ask? Well Derek is a fellow UT Alumn, from H-town whom I've known since I was like 12. We bumped into each other at Boho before going to see Transformers at the Arclight Dome. He mentioned he was in the movie and sure nough....First scene with the military there was Derek with speaking lines....and then throughout the movie....Nice work man!

Celebrities are normal people too!

Celebrities are normal people too. Take Amanda Bynes for instance. She goes to Westfield Sherman Oaks Mall. She talks on her cell. She carries a $2500 Chanel purse and drives a BMW X5. See....they are just like us.

1:10 pm - Katie (Heard Spurck) leaves The Waffle in Hollywood. We walk past the Pantages Theatre where the sign says that Third Eye Blind will be playing at the end of June. Cool. It's been a long ass time since we listened to Third Eye Blind. Actually, the last time Katie saw Third Eye Blind was as a sophomore in high school when Eve 6 opened for them. Skip to 8:00pm. Katie, David and I are at Katsuya and bump into Josh's friend Justin and girlfriend who is eating with Max Collin's, lead singer of Eve 6. If only that worked with all celebs. I would talk about Rob Pattison and see him everyday. Too bad it doesnt always work that way......

Baby Fat!

According to Casey as we hiked Runyon Canyon this evening, the blonde with the baby in the backpack was previous American Idol contestant Krisy Lee Cook. Two things I know...she didn't have baby fat and I didn't know she was pregnant. Conclusion: Stolen Baby!

Just last night - Eddie Jemison

So - here is one of those "how did E notice this one??" Eddie Jemison was in Ocean's movies and I know my Clooney/Pitt movies!

First off, I have seen him at the Hand Car Wash twice. The first time, I just noticed him. The second time (in between dialogue with Ethan Embry) his 2 year old daughter dressed all in pink walked up to me, put her elbows on my knees and asked me what nail polish color I was wearing. No joke.

Well she made quite and impression on me. Last night, Dave and I decided to grab some Gelatto up the street and there he was, with his wife (pictured here..about 8 1/2 months pregnant now) with their little girl, Daisy.

Wow, E knows alot about this 2 year old. Well on my way in, I stopped and mentioned that I had encountered this little girl before as she was very interested in my nails. They were delighted that I stopped and said something and introduced themselves.

Once we grabbed our bowl of yumminess, we sat outside next to them and watched as Daisy put on a show for entertainment!

"Can't Hardly Wait" to get out of this situation!!!!

It's Friday morning. I go for a car wash up the street. It is called Hand Car Wash for obvious reasons, but even better, they have these huge hand shaped chairs to sit in outside as you wait for your car.

I sit down conveniently next to Ethan Embry from such films as Can't Hardly Wait and Vegas Vacation. I have to tell you that he is one of those actors that my friend Lauren and I loved in High School mostly because her middle name is Emery and it was close to Embry. A stretch maybe, but we loved him all the same.

So sitting next to him. He fidgets. I realize I am wearing a skirt and did not bother to shave. Damn the work clothes for stumping me again. I look at him and the Diaglogue begins:

Ethan: "These chairs are uncomfortable"
E: (Awkwardly) "Well I guess if you had more fat they wouldn't be so hard" (Im not making this up....so awkward)
Ethan: "All bones here"

moments of silence...random conversation or whatever...I was BBMing Lauren the whole time.

E: "I have not seen anyone touch my car in like 15 minutes. They are just standing by it"
Ethan: "Have you ever played that game where you guess which car belongs to which person waiting?"
E: "No but sounds fun....."
Ethan: (looking at 6'7" Blonde German sitting two chairs down) "That guys drives the mini"
E: "No, he's German Engineering...I pick the VW"
pause
E: "I drive the cop car" (staring at the pimped out black car that is the same body style as a cop car)
Ethan: "really?"
E: "No..hahahaha"
Ethan: "You drive the Volvo."
E: "That predictable huh?" "Which one is your car?"
pause...moment of revelation...pause
E: "Its the cop car, huh?"
Ethan: "Yep"
E: "Wow that is not as funny as I'd hope for"
Ethan: "It's not really a cop car"
E: (thinks duh) "Yeah, I was joking, look my car's ready.....have a good one"

I then RUN to my car.

Calling All Trekkies!

Picture this....David is sick and at work on a Friday night. Food was needed. I decide to take a shower, let the hair dry naturally. Not typical. Then I head up to my local Indian cafe, Bollywood, to grab some take out for the two of us. No makeup necessary - its my local cafe and I won't be long....ha..funny last words. As I sit outside at a table waiting for my order, a Ford Explorer parks right out front. A pregnant woman gets out of the driver's seat and an older gentleman out of the passenger's seat. Then by my surprise the back door opens too. Out comes CHRIS PINE or should we say Captain Kirk! I get nervous, he is right next to me. I have a look on my face like "WOW...YOU'RE CAPTAIN KIRK" and his dad totally caught me. I look at him and he winks. I don't know if he was hitting on me. What do you think???

Alejandro Ghery's Bday party at Vicente on 4-13-09 brought out the big stars:

1. John Cusak - came over to speak with Al's dad Frank. Frank asked him to go sailing. Shit - I will serve drinks if that is what it takes to get on the boat.

2. Benjamin Bratt - I actually saw him from behind and thought "that looks like Ben Bratt" then he turned around and it was. That is real talent. He sat on the same side of the table with his wife.

4-14-09 Brooke Burns - Host from that show Dog Eat Dog. Was engaged to Bruce Willis back then. Spotted at Sushi Katsuya. It is my favorite restaurant in LA plus I see someone there every time!

4-17-09 Sam Trammell - Sam Merlotte from HBO's True Blood spotted dining with pal Tate Donovan (Marissa's Father from The O.C. and Jen Aniston's ex beau) at BOHO in Hollywood.

4-18-09 Quentin Tarantino - not a huge deal for you Austinites who have seen him with 18 year olds at Guero's. He was talking in his rather annoying voice loudly at Cafe Des Artiste dressed in a hockey jersey. I don't know why more girls aren't drooling over him.

4-19-09 Spotted Andy Dick with young daughter at Ralph's grocery store in my hood. He gives me the creeps.

4-26-09 T.R. Knight from Grey's Anatomy went hummingbird watching with pals on Runyon Canyon. Two girls...maybe E & Case butt in and chat about this amazing event. Smooth! Spotted again just the other day 5-26 at Little Dom's with same pals.

5-1-09 Billy Crudup with son at Whole Foods. I kept thinking how I had just seen his blue penis as Dr. Manhattan in The Watchmen. It was a weird thing for me.

5-2-09 Megan Fox (looking like cousin IT with her hair in her face, big glasses and a hat) eating breakfast at Le Pain with EX BEAU Bryan Austin Green. The two of them texted on their phones the whole time, didn't talk, and left Green's son there to entertain himself. And who thought she wouldn't be a good Step-Mother???????

5-10-09 Spotted Shia LeBeauf with bandanged hand taking mom to a movie at Sherman Oak's Arclight theatres. This just days after stories of how his 4'10'', 200lb hippy mom was said to be the most beautiful person he knows. He would marry her if she weren't his mother. He thought about the days when her and her friends danced around the house naked. Frightening!!!

5-29-09 Anyone remember the character Cher from Clueless? Has she done anything since then? Well she did complain about "David party of 5" sitting down at Sushi Katsuya before her and her man even though we came in after them. She was totally "clueless" that you have to have a reservation or you better like waiting an hour. Sucka!!!

Do Erica & Casey have a new BFF????

So here's the story:

Two Girls, let's call them E & Case go to dinner with friends at Beso in Hollywood. Outside we chat with blonde girl, recognized by the two of us as Bevin from One Tree Hill. Chat it up about hair.

Months later, same girls, go to Saturday morning Yoga. Same blonde comes in late and stands right infront of girls doing down dog. Coincidence? I don't know.

Then the taller of the girls is with Brit boyfriend at Sushi Katsuya and spots Blondie AGAIN with friends. Could this Blonde be stalking E??? Or are the destined to be BFFs???

Then Case decides to move into a bigger place and it just so happens that Bevin lives next door to her and J's new digs. WHAT??? Yes you hear that.

So the question is...Is E and Case going to be friends with Bev or what?

The answer is....

No - she moved out Sunday. :(

Spotted: Keanu Reeves walking in with presents at Chateau Marmont, Wednesday April 1st. Long hair, awkward stagger, but thoughtful I guess. I didn't see anyone else in the back room bring gifts!

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

I gave David a really hard time for two years about not seeing Leonardo DiCarprio when he did a BAFTA-LA screening of Blood Diamond that he took his sis Nicky too. What a great sighting. Plus at the screenings, they sit and do a Q&A for a half hour. Well just before Christmas, Dave and I went to the Warner Brother's lot to see a screening of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. We were told that only the Director, David Fincher would be speaking at the Q&A after the movie. However, after the movie was finished....out walks BRAD PITT in his grey pinstriped three piece suit..looking good along with his cast - Cate Blanchett (seen her twice now), Julia Ormond, Taraji Henson and a couple others.

At that point, I could no longer give Dave Hell.

Let's Start from the Beginning!

So - from the beginning...I have always loved the Entertainment industry! TV ~ Movies ~ Music ~Video Games (yes, I love geeks) and all that goes with it. I have always had a an internal game of Seven Degrees of Kevin Bacon going on. I love to link A Listers, B, C, and D listers to shows and movies. Let's call it a hobby, maybe. So here I am, now living in LA, the land of the Celebrity seeing them wherever I go! And now you can read about my sightings. I am a much thinner, cuter, but still guy loving Perez Hilton.
